Artist Residency PhD Studentships at One Horton Heath - A Unique Opportunity
Eastleigh Borough Council with John Hansard Gallery and Winchester School of Art at the University of Southampton have established a partnership to offer artist residencies at One Horton Heath (OHH) as PhD Studentships and are now inviting Expressions of Interest for the first fully funded Studentship.
The Studentship will run from September 2025 – August 2028.

2025–2028 Residency / Studentship
The first residency will appoint an artist ahead of the completion of the first residential phase. This presents a unique opportunity to:
- Work closely with the OHH Development team
- Engage with residents of Fair Oak and Horton Heath
- Contribute to community facility planning
- Connect with the first residents moving onto the site
The appointed artist will undertake a PhD, supported and supervised by Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.
