Infrastructure first

Delivering important infrastructure from the start

One Horton Heath has a unique approach to infrastructure – we are putting it in first. Providing new roads, utilities, a school, play parks and open spaces before, or alongside, the building of new homes means that local people and future occupants will benefit from new better access and community facilities early on.

Our approach to infrastructure

Our approach to infrastructure

Our focus on delivering infrastructure before or alongside the development of homes will mean that local people and new residents can benefit from improved access and new facilities at an earlier stage than is typical of housing developments.

Infrastructure progression

Infrastructure progression

The first phase of infrastructure, the northern and southern gateway entrances, first link road section and vast new informal public open spaces and habitat areas, was completed in September 2021. Since then we have continued to develop the infrastructure of the area.

The next phase of infrastructure

Linking Hedge End to Bishopstoke, the 1.2-mile link road will pass through the development, connecting into the northern and southern gateways. The new road will see new junctions into residential and commercial areas, new transport links including shared cycle and footways and a new bus route and extensive native shrub and tree planting.
