Upgrades Coming to Hedge End Train Station Path
Work is set to begin soon on the footpath connecting Bubb Lane to Hedge End railway station. The upgrades will transform it into a 3-meter-wide shared-use foot and cycle path, complete with new lighting for added safety and convenience.
Minor tree felling and pruning will occur along the route, with minimal excavation works. For added safety, a 1.4m fence will be erected near the pond, plus enhanced railings over the culvert.
The contract has been awarded to Mildren, a Dorset-based contractor with over 30 years of experience, ensuring a well-planned, low-disruption approach. The project is expected to take around 8–10 weeks and will make the path safer and more accessible for all users.
Stay tuned for progress updates!
