Originally released in 2020, the Design Code encompasses our aspiration for One Horton Heath to set a new standard for future developments - connecting character spaces for people to live, work and enjoy and delivering on our commitments to enhance and protect the natural environment.
The code acts as a design narrative positioning the developments’ purpose and identity, further linking the projects design focus on people and place throughout.

The design code journey has taught us what does and doesn’t work - detailing the ‘must have’ design parameters into a guiding set of unified principles.
Putting the needs of the local community and Borough first are captured throughout and form the design intent and objectives that our specialist design teams must achieve.
In 2022, the new update will move forward the ‘leading ideas’ adopted in the Masterplan which act as the Project-wide principles and set out the detail character area specific principles.
