Local children learn about One Horton Heath

Year R at Mansbridge Primary School enjoy an exciting trip

Children from Mansbridge Primary School embarked on an educational journey to the Council's fascinating One Horton Heath development, gaining valuable knowledge about the operations of a major construction site.

Luddon Construction hosted the Year R children, who learned about site safety, explored some of the earth-moving equipment, and made a video and a presentation to give them an idea of the scale of the OHH project. Luddon also donated some high-visibility tabards and road safety play equipment.

Head Teacher, Mrs Brosnan, penned a heartfelt note of appreciation to Luddon. She expressed, "The children had a fantastic time with you and are eagerly writing about their trip today. This is the magic of educational trips, they always inspire children to write. We are truly grateful for your efforts in organizing this for the children and for the wonderful equipment you have donated to us".

One Horton Heath is set within the semi-rural parish of Fair Oak and Horton Heath. Once complete, One Horton Heath will provide 2,500 homes, a vibrant local centre, primary school and sports field, better infrastructure, three new commercial hubs and a host of connected spaces and informal areas for wildlife to thrive.

There's also a video of the visit.
