As part of our ongoing commitment to the local community, members from One Horton Heath, Wates Residential Group, and eastbrooke homes came together for a successful community litter pick in and around Horton Heath.
Volunteers donned gloves and hi-vis vests to collect a variety of discarded items, ranging from the everyday, such as crisp packets and cigarette ends, to the more unusual, including a pizza box, a bicycle chain, and several vapes.
This clean-up initiative formed part of Wates Group’s annual Community & Conservation (C&C) Week, where employees across the country volunteer their time to support local causes.
One team member said, “It’s really rewarding to step away from the day-to-day and get out into the community.”
Community engagement is a core value for the One Horton Heath project. By working collaboratively with our partners and local residents, we’re not only delivering much-needed homes but also helping create a cleaner, greener and more connected neighbourhood.
More events like this are planned for later in the year, so watch this space!
